The large-leaved lime or linden is a tree native the temperate regions of Europe, commonly used as an ornamental tree in parks and along streets. It can live as long as 1,000 years and reach a height of 40 meters. As the name implies, it has larger leaves than the other varieties of lime tree. It produces small yellowish, aromatic blossoms that can be dried and used in herbal teas.
