Description
Oakmoss is a lichen gathered from young oaks that grow in Macedonia and Morocco at altitudes of 600 to 1,100 meters. In the spring and autumn, local gatherers strip the moss from the trees, removing pieces of bark or wood that are mixed in with the lichen. The moss is then dried and pressed, and shipped to the production sites.
