Description
Biolandes was founded in 1980 in the heart of the Landes forest. Its first perfumery product was maritime pine needle oil. The largest cultivated forest in Europe and an emblem of southwestern France, the Landes forest is PEFC* certified. Its trees are mainly used to supply the lumber and paper industries. The needles used for distillation are a by-product of these activities. They are harvested when the plots are cleared, which takes place in a cycle of 10 to 15 years.
